What is CIS?

CIS is the smarter way to manage money. It is a mobile app and VISA-DCB Bank reloadable prepaid card for children aged 10 onwards. It allows children and youngsters to make the best use of their pocket money in a safe and secure environment.

Why should I give my child a CIS card?

Using CIS you can introduce your children to responsible money management by:

  • Creating a monthly budget
  • Setting limits (per transaction, per day and per month)
  • Setting Alerts

CIS also allows you to:

  • Instantly add money on the child’s card through your CIS app
  • Suspend or Block card with just a click

Who can add money on my child’s CIS card?

The registered parent who has registered and ordered a CIS card for her/his child can add money to the child’s CIS card. The child’s close relatives and friends can also gift him money through the Add Money/ Gift feature on the CIS website.

How many children can I register?

A parent can register 4 children

How old should my children be?

Your children need to be 10 years or older to use CIS

How do I become a CIS user?

Using CIS is as easy as 1-2-3:

Registration: All you need to do is download the CIS app, register yourself on the CIS app and then your children.
Get card Create a CIS card for each child you register on CIS and add money to their cards. Your child’s very own CIS card will be delivered within 10 working days.
Start Slonkiting Download the CIS app on your children’s mobile phone and allow them to enjoy “responsible freedom” by managing their own pocket money using their CIS card and app. Now, sit back and relax while we update you on each transaction made by your children.

How do I add money on my child’s CIS card?

Click the rupee symbol on the top-right of the CIS app and add money.

What is Opening Balance, Available Balance, Total Money, Money Added, Money Spent and Offers?

  • Opening balance : It is the balance carried forward from the last month
  • Available Balance : It is the total amount currently available for use
  • Total Money : It is the opening balance + the amount added in a particular month
  • Money Added : It is the total amount added to the CIS card in a particular month
  • Money Spent : It is the total amount spent in a particular month using CIS
  • Offers : These are Pan-India as well as hyperlocal offers available for CIS users.

Is CIS Card/App safe and secure?

Yes it is. CIS is a reloadable prepaid card powered by VISA (the world’s largest payment network) and DCB Bank (India’s leading emerging private sector bank). CIS follows the necessary authentication norms and ensures the highest standards of security for every transaction.

Who is liable for any misuse of my CIS Card/App if I forget my Password?

We advise you to keep your password confidential. In case you suspect any misuse, suspend your card right away. As soon as you suspend the card, no one will be able to use the card anywhere. CIS is not liable for any misuse of your card.

What is a "Transaction"?

A “Transaction” is a detailed description of an activity on our card.

Is there a limit to the number of is the limit to the transactions that I can do?

No, there is no limit to the number of transactions that you can make.

What is the maximum amount a transaction can equal?

CIS does not impose any transaction limit on youngsters. If your parent has ordered a CIS card for you, then she/he may be able to set transaction limits for you.

How can I check the status of a purchase?

You will receive an SMS update.

What should I do if there is a transaction I don’t recognize on my card?

Contact us and we will provide you with a further description of the desired transaction.

What do I do if my transaction was declined even though I had enough money in my card?

Don’t worry at all. It normally happens when an incorrect PIN is entered. Please re-check if you have entered the correct PIN. If you are still not able to use the card, please use the mobile app to chat with us/ call us.

What is a notification?

A notification is an intimation that you receive on the app but doesn’t require your immediate action or approval.

Where do I view my notifications?

You can view the notification on the top right of the mobile screen (bell-shaped icon).

What do I do if my mobile phone is lost?

You can login to CIS from another mobile phone and suspend your CIS card. You may also call the customer care for further assistance.

What do I do if my CIS card is lost?

You can select the “Report Lost Card” option on your CIS Mobile App and follow the instructions. You may also call 1800 2295 22 and seek assistance to block the card.
